“You're pissed off all the time but it didn't make your life any better.” But the film didn't stop there. It's not just another anti-racism film. It's calling for violence with a muffled sound. The serenity will never come to this world. And you have to fight until the end.
Determinedly naïve. Some established motifs of island surviving are only touched upon. The grand villa seems a much simpler project than a raft. Their encounter with the aboriginal people remains a nonviolent witnessing of otherness. Nothing but bantering conflicts concern our couple. But now I value this lovely escapism from a sophisticated world.
